BENDY PICTURE ON YOUR 8256/8512/9512?

front of 8256

Another regular question ask of me is -- What can I do to straighten up the top of the picture on my machine?
Most of the 8256's,8512's and a percentage of the 9512's I have encountered need the following adjustment to get the picture right.
To correct the tearing, bending, distortion, pulling or call it what you will, at the top of the screen you need a small flat bladed screwdriver with an insulated handle (the best size is the largest from a set of Watch makers screwdrivers) to place into the hole at the bottom of the back of your machine (marked on the machine's back cover as 'H.HOLD') and next to the black Vertical Hold control knob (marked on the machine's back cover as 'V.HOLD') sticking out of the machine.

If not already running switch on your machine and leave it to warm up for 10 to 15 minutes, then gently insert the screwdriver into the hole and you will make contact with the Horizontal Hold (marked on the machine's back cover as 'H.HOLD') control, gently turn the screwdriver until it enters the control's slot, then turn it carefully one way or the other until your picture is straight.
