Amstrad printer users, can not find a replacement ribbon for your model of printer? --well did you know if you have an old undamaged dry fabric ribbon then by lifting off the cover and spraying it
with WD40 (leave it to soak in over night) it will make it as good as new. I have tried it with the PCW8256, PCW8512, PCW9512, PcW9256, PcW9512+, PcW10, DMP1, DMP2000, DMP2160, DMP3000 and DPM3160
printers and they all worked fine!. This should in fact work with any fabric ribbon -- give it a go what have you got to lose?
