Parts required:-
34 PIN EDGE CONNECTOR - do ensure you obtain the type with the spacer (key) between pins 7/8 and 9/10 or the type without a spacer (key) and not the disc drive type with the spacer (key) between pins 3/4 and 5/6, you can cut the spacer (key) away but it is a little difficult.
36 PIN CENTRONICS CONNECTOR. The connections are: first row 1 - 18, second row 19 - 36.
34 WAY RIBBON CABLE. Length to be determined by needs but not to long or you could weaken the data signal.
Assembly:-
Place ribbon cable onto the Edge connector with the stripe to the Pins 1/2 end and clamp on the retaining bar. Place the other end of the ribbon cable onto the Centronics connector with the stripe to the Pins 1/19 end. You will note that Pins 18 and 36 are not covered -- this is correct, now clamp on the retaining bar and ensure the cable does not move -- job done. Your finished printer cable should resemble the above illustration.
